Dr. Leroy Dunn, 81, of Washington Twp./Gloucester City; Past Employee of GHS/Camden County HS, Rams Alum 1960

On January 5, 2023 of Washington Twp. Age 81. Beloved husband Margaret “Katherine” (nee Mulhern). Devoted father of Katie Dunn, Laura Dunn-Blachewicz (James), Robert Dunn (Angie), and Tracy Dunn-Ribeiro. Loving grandfather of Ryan, Logan, Jackson, Natalie, Kora, and Amelia. Dear brother of the late Donald Dunn and the late Gerald Dunn.

Leroy Dunn graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School in 1960, where he was a member of the student council, honor society, and outstanding class athlete. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from La Salle University in 1964 and his Master of Arts degree from Villanova University in 1967. He received his Doctor of Education degree at Western Colorado University in 1977.

The Gloucester City Board of Education employed Lee for over 30 years. He then became Director of Guidance at Camden County High School for nine years before retiring.

Lee was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish. He enjoyed working outdoors and took great pride in his exceptional lawn. He loved fishing with his brother-in-law, Pete, and friend, Sam. On warm days you could find him sitting by the pool and reading. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Most often, he could be found watching Fox News.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Wednesday 9:00 – 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Sicklerville, NJ 08081. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Leroy’s memory may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church at the above address.
