WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ–The Gloucester County Addictions Task Force held its first-ever Recovery Bowling Event at Bowlero in Deptford. Due to the program’s success, the second event was held on December 14, 2022, at Bowlero in Washington Twp.
This free event was open to those in recovery from substance use, along with their families and friends. The Department of Human Services provided a resource table with a Stigma Free Resource Guide, the 2022 Holiday Support brochure, drop box information, Deterra bags and suicide prevention cards.
“Having a place to come together with other people who have walked similar paths is beyond helpful on the road to recovery and altogether a nice break to relax and enjoy ourselves. My family and I appreciate activities like this; it’s nice knowing we’re supported in our own community.” -Francis W.
