GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (January 11, 2023)–Four male teenagers from Camden City have been taken into custody for the attempted armed carjacking at the Gloucester City Wawa, Market Street on November 18, 2022, at 10 AM. The intended victim, sounded her horn and the suspects fled toward Route 130 in a Dodge Journey that was reported stolen in Camden City prior to the carjacking.
Following further investigation by detectives of the Gloucester City Police Department, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes and Juvenile Units, and the Philadelphia Police Department 26th District, four juveniles were charged in the matter with the following offenses on January 6, 2023:
- Juvenile #1: 15 years old of Camden City- Carjacking (1st Degree) and Receiving Stolen Property (3rd Degree)
- Juvenile #2: 14 years old of Camden City – Carjacking (st Degree) and Receiving Stolen Property (3rd Degree)
- Juvenile #3: 17 years old of Camden City Receiving Stolen Property (3rd Degree)
- Juvenile #4: 13 years old of Camden Ciy- Receiving Stolen Property (3rd Degree)
