PHILADELPHIA PA (JANUARY 25, 2023)(CNBNEWSNET)–Philadelphia Police announced today at a press conference that the investigation into the shooting of four victims on Monday, January 9 at 10 AM, in the 7300 block of Rowland Avenue is ongoing. Three of the four victims died. It was also announced the investigation into two other homicides on Huntington Park Avenue and on Torresdale Avenue is also continuing.
Quadruple Shooting/Triple Homicide—7300 Rowland Avenue
On Monday, January 9, 2023, at approximately 9:57 P.M., Philadelphia Police responded to the 7300 block of Rowland Avenue for a person with a gun.
Victim #1: An 18-year-old Hispanic male was located on the highway with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. PFD-Medic Unit pronounced the victim dead on the scene at 10:03 P.M.
Victim #2: A 19-year-old Hispanic male was located on the highway with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. PFD-Medic Unit pronounced the victim dead on the scene at 10:03 P.M.
Victim #3: A 24-year-old Hispanic male was located on the highway with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported by private vehicle to Nazareth Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:38 P.M.
Victim #4: A 28-year-old Hispanic male was located on the highway with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The PFD-Medic Unit transported the victim to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was in critical condition. The scene was held, with no weapon recovered and no arrest. The investigation is active and ongoing with Homicide Detectives Division.
Homicide—900 West Hunting Park Avenue
On Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at approximately 1:51 A.M., Philadelphia Police responded to the 900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue for a shooting. A 28-year-old Hispanic male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head. PFD-Medic Unit pronounced the victim on the scene at 1:57 A.M. Scene was held, no arrest, and no weapon was recovered. The investigation is active and ongoing with Homicide Detectives Division.
Homicide—7100 Torresdale Avenue
On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at approximately 4:02 A.M., Philadelphia Police responded to the 7100 block of Torresdale Avenue (Exxon Gas Station) for a person with a gun. A 66-year-old Asian male, later identified as Siboram Patro of the 1100 block of Wellington Street, was located behind the counter with a gunshot wound to the back. PFD-Medic Unit pronounced the victim dead on the scene at 4:10 A.M. The motive appears to be a robbery. The scene was held, no weapon was recovered, and no arrest. The investigation is active and ongoing with Homicide Detectives Division.
